Delete your BerthTime account
You can delete your BerthTime account yourself at any time, in the BerthTime app for iOS and Android or on the website. This page explains how, what is deleted, what is kept and when.
How to delete your account
- Sign in to BerthTime, in the app or on berthtime.com.
- Open Settings, then Profile.
- Under “Delete account”, choose Delete account and check what happens to each company you belong to.
- Enter your password, type DELETE and confirm.
The path is the same in the app and on the website: Settings > Profile > Delete account.
Can’t sign in?
First try resetting your password. If you no longer have access to the account’s email address, write to team@berthtime.com. We will check that the account is yours and delete it for you.
Companies you belong to
- If the company has another owner, you simply leave it.
- If you are its only owner and it has other members, you choose one of them as the new owner before you delete your account.
- If you are its only member, the company is closed together with your account.
What is deleted
- Your user account: name, email address, password, language and notification settings.
- Your sessions on every device, and the app devices and push notification tokens registered to your account.
- Your membership of every company.
- For a company closed with your account: its settings, API keys, webhooks, integrations, network data, alert rules and branding are deleted or revoked.
What is kept
- Invoices, usage and billing records, which we must keep for accounting and tax purposes. Your personal details in them are anonymised.
- Shipment data of a company that still has members. It belongs to that company and stays available to its members.
- For a company closed with your account: its shipments are archived (tracking stops) and their customer references, notes and tags are cleared. The usage records that billing depends on are kept.
When it happens
Immediately. As soon as you confirm, your account is deleted and you are signed out on every device. This cannot be undone. Copies in our encrypted backups are overwritten within about 35 days.
